River Dunes Owners Head Home on their New Boat
The Fitzpatricks, River Dunes owners, took possession of their new boat in Palm Beach, FL recently. They are spending a few days getting her outfitted before heading north to her home port, Grace Harbor at River Dunes. As they put it, "Mosey On will slip her lines and turn north on the 11th with stops pretty much anywhere that captures our interest…all at a stately 7 knots or so."
Safe travels, and we'll be waiting for you with the champagne!
River Dunes hits the Road to DC Real Estate Show
This past weekend, members of the River Dunes Team headed to Tysons Corner, VA for an Ideal Living Real Estate Expo. Attended by over 1300 people, the show was a big success. We always enjoy talking about River Dunes, and we had a great opportunity to do just that! Our next road trip is to Kent Island, MD for the Bay Bridge Boat Show. Hope to see you there!
Game Night at the Harbor Club
One of the Harbor Club traditions is a Midwinter Game Night, usually held on a Saturday in January. This year, Club Members turned out for a delicious dinner, followed by games downstairs in the Chandlery. The participants took turns at three games of skill and chance - Poker, Pictionary and the dice game Left, Right, Center. The ladies team walked away with a decisive win the the fiercely contested Pictionary finals.
New Year's Eve at the Harbor Club
It was a night to remember! Owners and Club Members at River Dunes rang in the New Year with a fabulous five course dinner, dancing to the sounds of the fantastic RISSE band, and the traditional Ball Drop. This year, the ball was dropped at midnight from the mast of the Forgione family sailboat, docked just outside the Harbor Club. The Harbor Club looked beautiful, and so did the guests. It was a great night, and here are a few photos of the fun we had!

Over Thanksgiving weekend, the Duttry family moved into their new custom home in the Oyster Point neighborhood of River Dunes. As is our tradition, we welcomed them to the community with a pair of new cruising bikes. We're so happy to watch this neighborhood grow, and we're looking forward to lots of great times with all our residents!

A Lovely Fall Wedding at River Dunes
A beautiful Saturday in October made for a picture perfect wedding day for Lisa and Nat. They were married at the Chapel, left by horse drawn carriage, and celebrated with a wonderful reception at the Harbor Club. Lisa used natural flowers with lanterns, wine bottles and Mason jars wrapped in burlap and lace to create a warm ambiance at the Chapel and the Harbor Club. It was lovely day and a truly special occasion.
More Construction Photos - Tennis Courts, Fire Station, New Home
The fall of 2013 has offered beautiful weather for all the construction activity going on in the community. Work continues on the two new Har-tru tennis courts, located in the Harbor Village at River Dunes. Grading, compacting and leveling are going on every day, weather permitting.
At the same time, site prep for the new Fire and EMS Station, located just across from River Dunes main entrance on Orchard Creek Road, is well underway.
Custom home construction in the Oyster Point neighborhood continues as well, with the Davis home nearing completion; and the Duttry family preparing to move in their new home in time for Thanksgiving.
A Gorgeous Fall Day at River Dunes
This weekend was picture perfect at River Dunes. The fall skies were Carolina blue, the temperature was moderate, and the marina was full of boats. Here are a few shots we snapped of the marina and Harbor Club. It's a great time to visit.
