More New Construction Photos

New homes are coming out of the ground all around the neighborhoods of River Dunes. Along Eastcove Way, the Clark home is already showing foundation work. Built by M.E. Maher Construction, this home is going to take advantage of some great views of Broad Creek.

Another really busy neighborhood this summer is Broadwaters. There are several new homes in various stages of architectural review, engineering and construction. The Lassen family has cleared a building pad for their new carriage home on Homestead Road. Additionally, the Tikkalas have marked trees to save on their homesite on Parris Creek in Broadwaters. Both of these homes will be built by Watermark Custom Homes of North Carolina.

We'll continue to update the blog with information and pictures of our new custom homes and amenities as they progress, so keep watching us grow!

Grand Opening and Dedication of the Fire Station

A recent Saturday was a very special occasion for residents of River Dunes and the surrounding area of Pamlico County, with the celebration and dedication of the new Fire Sub-station on Orchard Creek Road. Manned by the wonderful volunteers of Southeast Pamlico Volunteer Fire Department, this facility will provide services to this entire area of the County.

Chief Al Spruill spoke to the large crowd of neighbors and well-wishers, and a barbecue lunch was enjoyed by all who attended.

The festivities included the traditional firefighters' "inauguration" of a new station.

Even the littlest future firefighter enjoyed the celebration honoring our dedicated volunteer firemen, and their great accomplishment for residents of SE Pamlico.

Construction Activity at River Dunes

Today's blog entry will be the first in a series over the next few days detailing some of the exciting new construction in River Dunes. In addition to the building going on in the Harbor Village, there are new custom homes breaking ground in Oyster Point and Broadwaters, as well as the first new home in the Summerplace neighborhood nearing completion. It's going to be a busy summer!

The Provision Company, located on Harborside Road, just across from the Harbor Club and Marina, is on track for a projected completion in early fall. This addition of retail and gathering space for boaters, cottage guests and residents will be a welcome addition to the Harbor Village.

Watch tomorrow for updates and photos from the new home in Summerplace - what a beautiful view!
