Saturday Afternoon Full of Fun and Learning
River Dunes owners had a chance to learn more about life on the coast while having fun during Saturday afternoon of the Homecoming Weekend. Six local guides took owners and family members out into the waters around the community to try their hands at trout fishing. After some brief discussion of gear and lures, the guides shared some of their favorite trout "holes". Several boats ended up back inside the Harbor, where trout are plentiful. Everyone caught fish and had a great time doing it.
Another group of owners set out from the Boat Ramp for an afternoon of kayaking in Broad and Paris Creeks. The weather couldn't have been more cooperative, and the kayakers saw some beautiful wildlife and scenery while on the water.
The third activity of the afternoon was a Walking Tour that featured River Dunes Master Builders and Ed Mitchell, the Developer. The participants viewed three homes, at three different stages of construction, and learned about the building process from the building pad and site preparation through plan selection and finishing details. All who attended agreed that they learned a great deal about the building process, as they begin to plan their homes in River Dunes.
