River Dunes Property Owner is a True Winner
Bill Scott, businessman from Burlington, NC, a River Dunes Property Owner, and an avid sailor has been recognized in the June issue of Sailing magazine for his fund-raising efforts for the 2011 Leukemia Cup at River Dunes. Bill and his crew raised over $10,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its work in blood cancer research. Thanks for your great efforts and for displaying the River Dunes burgee, Bill! Bill attended the America's Cup World Series in November in San Diego and had his photo snapped with the actual Cup. He also shared a picture of Oracle4, winner of the Fleet Racing and Match Racing portions of the ACWS. What a thrill it must have been to see those boats! P.S. Let's bring the America's Cup back home to the US in San Francisco in 2013!

River Dunes Owners Share Spectacular Sunrise Photos
River Dunes residents, Walt and Linda Abercrombie, are definitely outdoor enthusiasts as well as terrific photographers. On a recent visit to their home in River Dunes, they enjoyed kayaking in the early morning. While paddling in the creeks around the community, Walt captured some spectacular sunrise and early morning shots. These photos of beautiful late winter misty morning skies showcase the peaceful, reflective nature of life on the big water. Thanks for the beautiful sunrises, Mother Nature. And thanks for sharing them with us, Walt!
